The design and development teams at AutoAnything worked tirelessly with the upper-management to achieve a well functioning, industry leading (online automotive accessories) e-commerce web site. The early rounds of re-design were lead by a creative director and marketing team. Latter designs came to fruition through myself as senior designer after the creative director had left.
After the initial redesign, the objective was to improve and expand the site as quickly and efficiently as possible. The expansion took place by adding large sections like shop by brand, shop by vehicle type, research guides and shopping guides. This helped to vastly expand their footprint on the web.
Improving the site relied heavily on performance reviews of the core metrics for each page. We also utilized a/b testing and eventually, multivariable testing to dial in each page, each button, each link.
The site's expansion and growth combined with the improved design and usability helped double the company's sales during a 2-year period.
